The Topknot Of All Topknots
There’s a real art to a perfect topknot, and for some reason, all models seem to have it down-pat.
So we went straight to the source, and were pretty pleased to find out it is as easy as it looks.
Our model Adele learned a thing or two about topknots in Tokyo. Turns out we weren’t imagining things – models pass-on their topknot technique backstage like a game of Chinese whispers… and luckily, we were next in line.

You want a bit of grittiness in your hair, so if it’s freshly-washed, sprits some salt spray through from roots to ends.
DO NOT brush your hair. This is key.
Tip your head upside-down, and pull hair into a bunch at the very top of your head.
Hold in place at the crown, and begin to twist the ponytail clockwise with the other hand.
Wrap the twisted ponytail around (clockwise) to form a bun.
Secure with a strong elastic, and then loosen pieces with your fingertips.
Voilà!
