Shelby Rodriguez resides in Brooklyn, NYC. The talented lady works full-time as the Creative Manager for shefinds.com (where she shoots street style and backstage beauty), and spends her spare time working as a freelance photographer, capturing the likes of Kate Bosworth and Elsa Hosk.

When it comes to beauty, she’s on that low-key, effortless tip. To her, beauty doesn’t equate to vanity. Instead, she thinks it should be about “enjoying the process and how it makes you feel.” Preach! Over the past two years, her focus has shifted to skincare, and she sees that as being part and parcel with “being in your late twenties, and realising that you have to be mindful of your skin.” *Enthusiastically nods in agreement*.

She’s yet to find the perfect SPF, but outside of that, she’s got her skincare routine down to a T. Get acquainted with her main beauty cabinet loves below.

Rodin Olio Lusso Lavender Absolute Luxury Face Oil

One

“I absolutely love facial oils for morning and night. This oil is fantastic under make-up (if applied sparingly) in the morning, and just as good at night. Truly the best anti-ageing and moisturizing oil I’ve tried. Not only is the product amazing for my skin, but the scent is unreal. It’s technically a blend of eleven different oils, but I smell mostly lavender and chamomile. The moment I use it, the scent relaxes me.”

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial

Two

“The first time I tried this, I was blown away. My skin had never felt so soft, and my pores literally shrunk before my eyes. It tingles when you first apply it for about three minutes. After that, I didn’t feel a thing. When I rinsed my face, I truly couldn’t believe how soft my skin was. My pores were smaller, my skin had a glow, and it felt like silk. I have a weekly FaceTime session to do Babyfacial with a friend of mine, who is equally obsessed.”

2

Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer

Three

“I use this as concealer. I only need about a quarter of a pea-sized amount for my entire face. It truly covers everything, from under-eye circles to the most intense acne scars. I also use it on either side of my nose to cover any redness. You really could use this on problem areas and skip foundation completely. It also lasts forever, seemingly.”

3

Diptyque Tam Dao

Four

“I’m very particular with fragrances. I strongly dislike fruity, and generally I gravitate towards woody scents. Specifically, sandalwood and amber notes. This scent is my #1 because it’s perfect all year round, lasts throughout the day, and isn’t too overwhelming. Truly my favorite, even over my beloved Le Labo scents.”

4

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured

Five

“I initially started with the powder version, but the poured is so much better. It blends seamlessly, even on top of foundation. Becca has the best highlighter, hands down, and this formula is my favorite.”

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Six

“I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for years. Recently, I took the plunge and purchased Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk in shade 2.5. I’ve tried a ridiculous number of foundations, hoping I’d find the one. This one actually is. The coverage is perfect, medium-weight, build-able, and the finish is perfect. Not too greasy, and perfectly natural-looking.”
