My name is Rebecca Ramsdale and I’m from Toronto, Canada. I’m currently working full-time for a Toronto unisex clothing brand, and in my off time, I have a fashion, lifestyle and beauty blog. I started my blog as a need to explore my own creative side rather than working solely on creative projects for others (I pick up a freelance photo job from time to time). While my main focus is fashion, I have this undying love for all things beauty (I literally watch 2 hours of beauty videos every day). I like to think my approach to beauty is a little more ‘abstract,’ which basically means I have no idea what I’m doing and feel totally comfortable smearing an extremely bright matte cream eyeshadow all over my lids and leaving the house. Beauty is supposed to be fun, so I definitely roll with that!

Boy Smells Cedar Stack Candle

I like to wake up very early each day, hours before needed, so I can really enjoy my morning routine. I make coffee, sit at my makeup table, watch YouTube videos, and burn candles. This makes something that I have to do each day a lot more special and enjoyable. While I’m not super picky about candles or candle brands, I’ve really grown fond of the scents from Boy Smells and have repurchased them a number of times. After the candle has burned down, I like to repurpose the jar, because throwing out such cute packaging just feels like a waste. Am I right?

Glossier Cloud Paint

When Glossier’s Cloud Paint first launched, I was pretty certain I wouldn’t be purchasing Puff. I always felt light pinks didn’t look right on my skin tone, and I was a preteen in the early 2000s (while baby pink hues were a little more frosty back then, I had definitely given it them a go). Leave it to Courtney Trop of Always Judging to look so great in Puff that I couldn’t resist ordering. I wear Puff almost every day now, and feel like a literal angel every time I apply it. The colour is just so cute—I don’t think I’ve ever loved a blush more.

Le Labo Musc 25

I’ve been wearing the same perfume since I was 14, and no, that one is not a Le Labo fragrance. As embarrassed as I am to share this (probably because of the purple heart-shaped bottle that comes with a removable, rhinestone-encrusted, crown-shaped ring), I will still on occasion walk through a purple cloud of Vera Wang Princess. I honestly really enjoy the scent, and still have a full bottle I don’t want to waste… Anyway, I recently received the Le Labo City Exclusives Discovery Pack. I took a very Type A approach to this pack and decided I to go in perfect order to make sure I didn’t miss a single bottle. One morning, before I headed out the door, I ran to my Le Labo pack and went for the next bottle in line. Something stopped me, and I noticed how drawn I was to the bottle of Musc 25 (I was going rogue here and skipping over many bottles!). While the Type A in me begged me to stop, I spritzed myself with the tiny vial and skipped out the door. An hour or so after leaving home, I got an email from Glossier inviting me on my first ever (and one of the best ever) trips to Los Angeles. Now why does this matter? Turns out Musc 25 is the City Exclusive perfume for Los Angeles. I was freaked. I’m a big believer in fate, so my connection with this fragrance feels stronger than ever. Naturally, I had to get a full-sized bottle.”

F. Miller Face Oil

This is one product I always go back to. While I like to experiment with different creams and serums, I can always count on F. Miller’s Face Oil to do exactly what I need. I don’t know why I ever stray from it, because every time I go back, I am amazed by what this little bottle of golden-hued oil can do. I use this instead of a moisturizer in the summer, and when my skin gets extra dry in the winter I’ll layer it under a moisturizer. 10/10 would recommend.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I’d never really used a primer (let alone one made up of this shimmering golden goodness) before this, but after my first application I knew I was in it for the long run. I don’t think I’ve gone a single day without questioning myself and what I was doing before this showed up at my door. And the best part? Your skin literally looks flawless in photos. Like, flawless. I need to figure out what is in this stuff and apply it to my entire life. It’s phenomenal.
