So we decided to follow suit and try our hand at colouring outside the lines (without looking like you’ve completely lost the plot).
… And we were pretty damn proud of our efforts. Check the before and after – we think it’s safe to say that after reading this, you’ll never apply lipstick any other way.

Cover lips entirely with a concealer the same shade as your skin. Make sure you blend it all the way out beyond your lip line and onto the skin.
This lays the perfect foundation for the next steps and will make your lipstick stay put.
A concealer with a creamier consistency will work best for this.
Find a lip liner in a similar shade to your lipstick.
Starting at the cupid’s bow, begin to trace around just outside your natural lip line. Don’t stress about the thickness of the line. The aim here is to get the shape right.
Do the same on the bottom lip. Be sure to draw the line just outside where your lip naturally finishes.
Fill-in the rest of your lips with lipstick and you’re good to go.
