Nicky Liberti is a 24-year-old beauty nerd from Brooklyn, New York. The lil’ bae works for L’Oreal USA as part of their Biolage DMI (International Brand Development) team – a position she’s held for two years, since she finished up studying Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Is that the sound of your product-obsessed ears pricking?

Being the bizzay lady that she is, Nicky is all about that “fast and minimal” beauty routine, meaning she can’t “stand to have a full face of make-up on” for a whole working day. Amen, sister. Instead, she loves to “throw [her] hair up, spoil the shit out of [her] skin for an all-day glow, fill in [her] brows, apply mascara, and go.” All-day glow? Fleeky brows? Undone hair? No effort required?! Sign us the hell up!

Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate

One

“I tend to have more skincare than I know what to do with at all times, but regardless, when I’m running low on this serum, I make sure to get a new one on deck so I never have to go a day without it. I don’t think I could. I fell in love with it when I interned at Kiehl’s – it dispenses as more of a gel, but liquifies into this super penetrative serum when applied. My skin drinks it right up, and it makes me feel plumped and alive like nothing else.”

Zoologist Beaver Eau De Parfum

Two

“I stumbled upon this brand on Instagram, and the niche fragrance lover in me was immediately intrigued. All of their fragrances are inspired by animals; their behaviors and their habitats. I ordered the complete sample pack, appreciated the standout sophistication of them all, and had to have the 60ml bottle of Beaver ASAP. On my skin, it opens smelling very aquatic, but it’s not that typical clean ozonic note. It’s earthy and green-tinged, with a light woodiness and muskiness – “Beaver” immediately makes sense. I think I appreciate this so much because there are very few animalistic fragrances on the market, and this is an incredibly refined and modern one. I see it being a staple of mine for a while.”

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength

Three

“I first purchased these when I finished taking Accutane for 6 months (AKA hell on earth). My acne itself was gone, but it left scars, discoloration, and uneven texture. I used these peel pads in an attempt to remove my outermost layer of skin every day until eventually I revealed beautiful, clear, even skin. By the time I got through a box of 60, I swear it had worked! This is the one thing I won’t travel without now – anytime my skin is doing something I don’t approve of, I put it right back it in its place with these.”

3

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade

Four

“I started using this in Taupe when I went completely platinum blonde from my natural dark brown – I needed a very neutral, muted shade for my brows, otherwise they looked offensively dark. I still use Taupe today, five extremely unnatural hair colors later, and it’s worked with each of them. I apply it with an angled liner brush and just accentuate (fake) the arches of my brows a bit. It has a super creamy consistency so it takes a minute to set, which makes it easy to manipulate and erase with just a finger if you fuck up. That’s my kind of make-up.”

Biolage R.A.W. Nourish Shampoo And Conditioner

Five

This range is near and dear to my heart, not just because I spend my days working to make its global launch a success, but because it really is making a difference. It’s developed and manufactured in an incredibly sustainable way, with 70-100% natural origin ingredients. Even the ingredients that are man-made have zero environmental toxicity. It definitely takes some adjusting to these formulas if you’re used to traditional (synthetic) haircare, but it’s so worth it – my hair’s softer, lighter, and bouncier than ever, and best of all, it feels naturally healthy.”
