Gia Salvaggio is a woman of many talents, the first being her ability to curate a neutral, minimalist Instagram feed that pulls us (and 74,000 others) in on a daily basis. The Belgian photographer spends a good chunk of her time at the library and in bookstores seeking out new knowledge in the pages of old books, and online shopping for investment pieces that bring herself closer to ger goal of looking like Keith Richards and Joan Didion’s love child. Perhaps our favourite thing about her, though, is that when it comes to photography, she prefers to turn her lens on the older generation.

The bookish babe subscribes to a very skin-focused, low-maintenance beauty routine, which she complements with small hints of makeup. Learn some new things below…

Byredo Baudelaire

This is my favorite perfume of all time. I have a hard time with scents, and I get headaches super easily, but with this it never happens. It smells like home.”

Glossier Boy Brow

“When it comes to makeup, I’m probably the most boring person ever. I prefer to give attention to my skin so it looks great and I don’t have to cover up. I don’t feel comfortable when I have foundation on, but I like concealer, some blush, a little bit of highlighter, and, of course, Boy Brow. I always get complimented on my brows when I have it on, and it doesn’t feel sticky or anything, which is great. You put it on, forget about it, and look great!”

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

“I don’t have any issues with my skin, even if it is a bit dry, mostly after my showers.
I apply this morning and night (after a serum) and it leaves my skin feeling super soft.”

3

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution

To take the day off, makeup or not, I use this. It scares me when I look at my cotton pad and I see how dirty my skin is after a day out and about. Once I’ve used this, I splash my face with water a couple of times and do a mask or apply the rest of my skincare.”
