Dry, flaky lips are one of our biggest pet hates (our others are people who push-in, and people who clog our feeds with too much of one thing on Instagram – like babies and PDA).

Chapped lips instantly make you look older, thirsty, tired and washed-up – like last night was big (even though you were wrapped-up in bed, watching House of Cards smothered in Deep Sleep Night Oil by 9pm). Not to mention they can make our favourite lipsticks look, just, wrong… And they start to get painful in winter when the cold, dry air kicks-in and amplifies the issue.

But to be honest, it doesn’t matter whether it’s rain, hail or shine – we’re in a constant battle with them.

We do all the right things – apply nourishing lip balms religiously throughout the day, drink water whenever we think of it and even give our lips a quick scrub with the toothbrush now and then, but nothing seems to completely solve the problem. All we want is perfect pillowy lips like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, is that too much to ask?!?!?!

Apparently so, but there’s hope for us yet because there are a few extra things you can do to make them smooth again.
