Sure, we’ll blithely spend $239 on a facemask – much to the disdain of our boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, mum, dad, friends and goldfish – but that doesn’t mean we don’t love products on the affordable end of the price spectrum, too. Now, more than ever before, beauty is becoming more accessible and affordable brands (offering high-grade results) are cropping up everywhere (read: The Ordinary, NYX, Go-To, Glossier etc). High low is where it’s at.

We’re certainly not mad about it, and evidently, neither are you – because when we asked you for your roundup of the best products under $20, the responses came flooding in. So, once again, we salute you.

Here they are: your Under $20 must-haves, According To You.

@lauren.robinsons

The Ordinary Lactic Acid. It’s less than $20 and the best for stopping spots in their tracks!”

@youngbabyv

Drunk Elephant’s Pekee and Juju Bar duo… it’s $18 and it’s amazing!”

@megan_bannister

Weleda Skin Food: I use this stuff on every inch of my skin. It’s a thick moisturiser that I use as a hair mask, eye cream, primer (for drier skin). Could use it for anything. Also, The Ordinary 100% Plant Squalene. It’s the best oil-free lighter day time too, and you can use it like a booster with other products. Multi-purpose product = budget friendly.

@kovenantlecoeur

Rose Face Oil by Badger Balm! It’s a lovely Rose Oil Serum, comparable to a Rose Glow Serum by Living Libations, or Vitamin C Rose Oil by Biossance. It takes a little while to absorb, so use sparingly.”

4

@salomedali

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Agua Micellar. The best Micellar Solution in my opinion. French products are the best!”

5

@emilyalgar

Lanolips 101 Ointment, and Dermal Therapy Lip Balm for when they’re really, really cracked.”

6

@tutu_ao

“It would definitely be Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water. A MUST for acne-prone skin!”

7

@grgastead

Olay Regenerist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Wipes. They’re a great first step for cleansing as they slightly, gently, exfoliate too.”

8

@kreesjenner

Maybelline Age Rewind (doesn’t cling to dry patches!), Maybelline Brow Precise Fibre Volumiser and ANY of their Colour Sensational Lipsticks!”

“Oh my GOD – PONDS COLD CREAM!!! My dad told me it’s what his own mother used on her skin, and I thought well there’s no way I’m using that… however I ended up buying a tub and It. Is. Amazing. I’m kinda lazy, so on nights where I don’t actually want to wash my face with soap and water – because water is actually quite drying – I just use cold cream and it takes ALL my make up off, doesn’t require any rising, cleanses my face AND leaves it moisturised. Plus, it smells like roses! Literally, every millennial girl should go out and get this product!
