I grew up in New York’s Hudson Valley, but currently live in Boston. I do have visions of returning to a quieter setting one day, though, and it’ll probably be back somewhere near home. I want fresh air, a dog, and a garden! My approach towards beauty is with a clean and natural eye, but, in general, I don’t believe in being too restrictive. You have to do what works for you. I’ve been following a plant based diet for ten years now, and I truly believe that what you feed your body is just as important as what you put on it. I’ve tried the super simple, all-natural way (apple cider vinegar as toner, shea butter, and raw honey masks) and the super luxe way (May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon and Jasmine Garden), and I believe in both ends of the spectrum. Finding your routine is a journey, and it’s always evolving—at least for me it is.

J. Hannah Nail Polish

J. Hannah has the most beautiful and unique line of nail polish colors. I like that they’re inspired by natural elements and artist palettes. I own the color Artichoke, a good, earthy, muted green, but my sister has three other shades that I’ve tried and want now! Himalayan Salt is my new favorite, and Saltillo is also gorgeous. The colors feel so elegant to me, and elegance is something I strive towards these days.

Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner

Ilia’s Tinted Lip Conditioner in Nobody’s Baby is my go-to everyday lip color. It glides on somewhat glossy, but then fades into the most perfect, pinky-nude, lived-in shade. This is always with me in my bag. Adding some color to your lips can really make a difference.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil has been the best thing for my skin. It is the must-have item in my routine. Pai’s BioRegenerate Oil is at a good price point for me, too—it does an exceptional job of healing and hydrating. It’s also so good for blemishes, and is the one skincare product that I’ve used where I see immediate results. My skin looks instantly more calm when I put it on.

RMS Beauty Un-Powder

RMS Beauty’s Un-Powder is another essential product for me. I have really oily skin, which I’ve learned to accept and appreciate. I think it’s just genetics. I was at a wedding recently and all of my Hungarian relatives (on my mom’s side) looked so much younger than they actually are, in the best way possible, of course. Isn’t having oily skin good for preventing wrinkles? I read that somewhere. Anyway, when I put on foundation, I like to use this powder to set. I use the non-tinted version. I love how silky it makes my skin feel. So lightweight, too.

F. Miller Hair Oil

I love to put F. Miller’s Hair Oil on the ends of my hair after a shower. It smells so incredible and it works so well. I especially notice a difference during winter, when my hair leans toward the dryer side. It’s full of good oils like jojoba and avocado. There’s neroli essential oil in there, too—a scent I love.
