My name is Anaa Saber and I’m a Pakistani-American & native New Yorker with an affinity for fashion, art, skincare and all things beauty. I graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology and since then, I’ve spent the last couple of years building my brand “Our Second Skin”, all while consulting, fashion editing, writing, styling and trend forecasting with various media outlets. I also have a pretty sweet full-time job as an editor at a creative think tank, The TOBE Report. I like to consider myself an on-the-go person, so my skincare regimen is critical.

Le Labo Palo Santo 14

There’s nothing like setting the tone before performing a ritual, and when I say ritual I mean skin care, obviously. I collect candles, so you know I’m serious about this life. And let me tell you there’s nothing like the scent of cedarwood and patchouli I love more.

1

Glossier Body Hero

This product changed my life. I now actually enjoy moisturizing my body after the shower, (thank you, Glossier). Accompany with body wash for bonus points. 😉

2

Dimensions De Chanel & L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara

To be real with you, on most days I don’t wear makeup. I’ll save you the no makeup, makeup spiel. I find that good skincare equates to no makeup, for me at least. But if you ask a gyal to name one product she can’t live without, I’d have to say mascara. These two are my go-tos, I usually mix them both when applying.

3

Dior Life Sooth Balm Mask

After a long day, this mask is a life-saver. When my skin is feeling dull or dry I use this before I go to bed and it plumps and hydrates breathing life back into my skin. Lightly massage on skin and wash off in 10 minutes, that’s all it takes.

Chanel Le Lift Eye Revitalizer

Not sure if it’s my South Asian blood, or if I just naturally have dark circles under my eyes. I’ve tried my fair share of creams to prevent bags, but none of them seem to work for me. Instead, I’ve turned to Chanel’s 2-step eye revitalizer as my go-to eye patch, after a long day sitting behind a computer screen, a cooling patch is the best way to end my day.
