We keep it pretty chill in the lash department. A quick slick of Burberry’s Curve Lash Mascara before we walk out the door is all we need.

But sometimes, the occasion calls for a little extra impact (like an obligatory birthday party with your ex and his new Tinder girlfriend), so we found a way to get it that takes zero skill and minimal time.

Enter… layered-up mascara – i.e. combining three mascaras with different benefits. Defining, lengthening and thickening all play a part here, people.

We know there are mascaras that claim to do it all, but we’ve never been convinced. We’ve tried and tested, but have either been underwhelmed – or worse – overwhelmed by a clumpy, stumpy mess.

This trick will make the most of what you’ve got, and it’s as easy as one, two, three.

Immediately follow-up with a slick of lengthening mascara.

Now for the fun part.

Take it to the next level with a thickening/volumising mascara.

If you run into any clumping, use an eyelash brush to remove excess. The less time you leave between the layers, the better.
