Cue… Bobbi Brown’s Sand Eye Palette, which is pretty much god’s gift to bronze smokey-eye addicts. Think of it as every brown/golden/glowy shade you’ve ever wanted, in one.

We got a bit carried away with the ‘golden bronze’ shade, but the palette has everything you need – from pale cream to a dark greyish brown – so you can be as soft and subtle or heavy-handed as you like.

We used the lightest shade to highlight the brow bone and the darkest to contour in and just above the crease. Top it off with a swipe of the golden bronze shimmer on the top lids and the pale gold shimmer on the brow bone and you’re good to go.

It’s cheaper than a plane ticket, and needs minimal blending – unlike your pre getaway dose of St Tropez.
