I like to invest in quality, and that extends to most areas of my life. From my wardrobe, to the food I eat, to the products I use on my skin – integrity is important to me. Less is usually more and I like to buy things that last.
This philosophy also extends to my make-up bag, including the make-up brushes I use. I bought my first serious make-up brush in my early 20s – it was a Bobbi Brown bronzer brush, quite an upgrade to the make-shift mini synthetic brush I had used in my teens.
I still use it today, and it’s a reminder that investing in quality pays off. You get what you pay for — from how the brush precisely applies product to the skin, to how they feel. Luxury brushes excel in more ways than one; they offer an elevated level of craftsmanship, from the bristles – whether it be natural hair or the finest synthetic fibres – to the materials and precision of the design.
