Armani, Lumionous Silk Foundation £47
How could Armani Beauty’s iconic Luminous Silk Foundation get any better? Well, tried and tested, it can, and it has. This has been the hero foundation of the industry for decades, and to change or update it could be a risky task, but I can confirm this updated formula feels even more luminous, sheer and hydrating. With wonderful new skincare additions of niacinamide, glycerin and Mediterranean flower extracts, Armani extended its offering with a wider, more true-to-skin-colour range, now available in 44 shades. I absolutely love the weightless texture that melts into skin, giving a smooth and glowing finish, without being too dewy. With medium coverage, this can be built up easily, but still works to blur pores, smooth imperfections and even out skin tone.
39BC Fig Milk Oil Body Cleanser 280mls, £39
Another brand pushing natural ingredients is the new body care brand 39BC. Free from parabens and silicones, and with 85% natural ingredients, this oil-based formula emulsifies with water, transforming into a silky, milky wash that cleanses skin, whilst moisturising it. I am loving the Fig Milk compilation – galbanum, coriander, violet leaf, fig, coconut, cyclamen, cedarwood – this leaves you feeling and smelling like you have just left a spa. They might need to consider bigger bottles, as the whole house will be reaching for this.
Loewe Perfumes, Sweet Almond medium scented candle, 280g, £205
This is just really good. Almondy and the perfect amount of sweet, but not sickly – this high intensity gourmand fragrance offers a cosy and nutty scent that will remind you of biscotti or a Spanish sweet thanks to the combination of almond, sugar cane and orange blossom (possibly not a good idea to have burning if you’re struggling with a sugar addiction). Housed in Loewe’s signature, hand-crafted red terracotta vessel, this is a stunning addition to any room in any home. With a burn time of approximately 45 hours, this beautiful candle makes the perfect gift.
Chanel, Le Lift Flash Eye Patches, £88
I personally love an eye mask, or any type of at-home mask, and these from Chanel have upped the game. Not only are they the chicest looking eye patches on the market – they actually deliver too. The easy-to-apply, logo-embossed eye patches are infused with hyaluronic acid and their signature eye complex that delivers a tightening effect on the eye area. You only need to leave them on for 5-10 mins (though I leave mine on longer), and when you remove them, you will truly notice brighter, more hydrated skin around the eyes – an immediate, quick fix for dehydrated eyes. These are especially great for a boost ahead of a party or event.
Armani, Luminous Silk Glow Extending Primer £40
The perfect alliance of skincare and makeup with Armani’s newest Luminous Silk Illuminating Primer. I have never really been a primer girl, as I’m all about rich moisturisers, so never felt they were necessary – but this product has changed that for me. Formulated with 89% skincare-based ingredients, enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and a Mediterranean floral duo, this gives exactly what it promises – a luminous, radiant complexion. This skincare-based formula is infused with “Golden Hour” pearls that at first look slightly pink but melt onto your skin, giving a fresh, dewy, immediate glow-up that works for all skin types. This is the perfect base under your cc cream, foundation or concealer.
Environ, Tri BioBotanical Revival Masque 50ML, £66
I experienced my first Environ facial whilst on a holiday over the Christmas season. And wow, I get the hype. The products are genius, and have worked wonders on my skin. The facialist advised me that if I was going to take one thing home, this mask should be it. It truly is a super mask, and effective enough to totally boost and regenerate your skin, yet gentle enough that most skin types can use it – and it can be used a few times a week if desired. Like the whole Environ range – start slow, and build up. Accurately described as ‘microneedling in a jar’, I recommend adding this mask to your bathroom shelf!
Rhode, Pocket Blush in Tan Line, £25
Ok, so everyone knows about the Rhode blushes by now, but they are so good, we need to keep talking about them. Rhode has mastered the art of easy-to-use, creamy, perfect application. This handbag-sized blush is such a beautiful, creamy formula that is highly pigmented, buttery and blendable – a little goes a long way. The texture is super hydrating and long-lasting, giving that natural, healthy flush. If you’re a blush girl, this is essential in your kit. I am especially loving the new shade Tan Line, a pinky tan giving that sun-kissed ‘just off the beach’ look.
Erborian CC Red Correct Cream SPF25, £33
Dubbed the ‘Korean secret’ to a visibly perfect complexion, this CC cream formula actually helps improve the appearance of flawless, even-toned skin. Working in beauty means my skin has been subject to testing different products and treatments, some of which weren’t great for my barrier. I have noticed over the last year that my skin felt a little redder in areas than it was (this is improving due to a return to barrier-rich products). But on hearing about this magic CC cream, I have been excited to try it – and can absolutely confirm, yes, it does actually work. When I first applied the green-coloured cream to my face, I was intrigued by how this would actually adapt to my skin – but it did, flawlessly, erasing any imperfections but still looking super natural. The pigments and technology adapt precisely to match your unique skin tone, though it’s mainly intended for lighter skin tones that suffer from redness. This is ideal to replace foundation or tinted moisturiser to create a flawless finish. For a heavier coverage, it makes an excellent primer under foundation or concealer.
