Milan will always give expensive, polished beauty and this season womanhood was out in force.
Small details brought individuality to the runway with a skinny floating liner at KNWLS, pearl tears at Giuseppe di Morabito and metallic lashes at Moschino. It felt unexpected but still polished making you want to look closer.
Sophia Loren and the Italian woman is a strong presence in Milan and no season would be complete without many a mastered black liquid liner, drawn out into the perfect feline flick. From classic liner at Dolce + Gabbana to short, thick flicks at Fendi and a subtly smoked wing at Missoni, femininity remained a strong presence on the runway.
Away from the polished complexions there was also a return to super minimalist skin with models looking spa fresh and almost completely devoid of makeup. Seen at Prada, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta, skin glowed with a natural, healthy sheen.
