When it comes to hair, we’ll admit we’ve been pretty complacent. Mostly because it’s hard to find the time to do anything out of the ordinary. And we barely have a spare second to book in a hair appointment, let alone sit in the hairdresser’s chair for over two hours. A few spritzes of sea salt spray or a topknot is about all we can usually manage. What other options even exist? We wanted something that was quick and easy – that elevated the everyday.

Enter… the knotted ponytail, the updated but undone version of the low-slung ponytail seen on the spring ‘15 runways at Rag & Bone, Thakoon and 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Click through the steps to see how it’s done.
