What does Beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me means taking care of myself. When I was younger I was hiding my face under a lot of makeup, in an attempt to conceal the acne I had at that time, but eventually I learned that taking care of myself from the inside out was the solution to the imbalance of my skin.

On Skincare

AM: I start every morning by massaging my face with either my Gua sha or face roller, I then cleanse my face with a micellar water by Bioderma, I follow that with Paula’s choice 2% BHA exfoliant. I apply the Chantecaille bio lifting eye cream, then a vitamin C serum by Medik8, followed by The cream by Augustinus Bader. Finally I mix together my Eucerin SPF 50 gel sunscreen with squalane oil by The Ordinary. Lastly, a lip balm.

PM: I clean my face with the Dr. Barbara Sturm foam cleanser which I apply onto my Foreo Luna device and wash the sunscreen off my face. I follow that with the same micellar water and eye cream from the morning, then the Sunday Riley A+ retinol serum, followed by the same face cream and squalane oil from the morning routine. If I have a pimple I will apply tea tree oil from Puhdas+ on it.

On Makeup

The makeup I wear on a daily basis is Brow gel by Revitalash and either the Bisou Blam by Violette_FR in Bêtise or Rose confetti lip gloss by Hermès.

On Haircare

For my haircare I only use organic products; a birch tree shampoo and conditioner by Frantsila, which I get from Finland. I moisturize my scalp with 100% almond oil and my hair with coconut oil. In my hair care routine I avoid using heat on my hair more than once a month. I also prefer hair clips, as hair ties are so aggressive for my curly hair.

On Fragrance

My everyday scent is J’adore by Dior. It’s a sweet and nostalgic scent for me because it smells like my mother. The other perfume I wear is Cuir Nilam by Atelier Materi. It’s a seductive scent which I love to wear in the evening.

On Health and Wellness

My wellness philosophy is taking care of myself from the inside out. I like to attend weekly sound bath and meditation classes as this helps boost my positivity. I really believe in the science of a positive mind having an impact on your life and general wellness.
