Beauty is the feeling of ease and harmony in your body and in the world.
What does Beauty mean to you?
On Skincare
I love coconut oil after a shower, recently reminded by this ritual after looking into ayurveda practices. Mum used to put it in our hair as children and teenagers, something that was practiced in her family in the Philippines, where coconuts are an abundance on her island.
I like to keep things pretty simple. AM + PM – I love Lesse! The creamy cleanser, SPF and essential moisturizer. It has pretty much taken over my beauty cabinet.

On Haircare
I’m in the process of growing my hair to my bottom. I haven’t had very long hair for about ten years and excited to have mermaid locks again, something about extra long hair on a woman feels quite witchy and powerful. I get my hair cut at ON SESSION (https://www.on-session.co/) with Ritsuka, I also love the Sandor hair oil. Regular brushing and braiding for sleep. About once a week I will throw some coconut oil through it.
On Make-up
NARS liquid blush, gives that stained feeling across the cheeks whilst still feeling moist.
WESTMAN ATELIER mascara, love the red stick and the clean long and thick lashes.
On Health and Wellness
The grind of the fashion world is something I am very familiar with, this year I have made the decision to say no. To curb the frantic and excess that seems to teem from the industry. Sleeping in my own bed, cooking my own food, long walks down the west side highway and central park with Roro and Pablo my dogs, mornings at the gym and making space to move with intention.
On Rituals
I try to get eight hours sleep and be in bed at the same time every night, I drink lots of coconut water, water and tea! I have in the last couple of years been on and off coffee and alcohol which has really helped retain more collagen and keep my skin feeling hydrated.
On Fragrance
Aesop Marrakech, I have tried a few other fragrances but always come back. It’s earthy, unisex and Australian.
