What does Beauty mean to you?

Talking beauty is weird to me. It is extremely individual in every aspect and it covers many facets with one single word. However, when discussing skincare routines, I’ve always been conscious of what’s best for my skin. My mom is a legend when it comes to this, and she’s shared numerous valuable tips with me since I was very young. I’ve practiced my skincare routines or rituals so many times by now that I often do them on autopilot. Still, I enjoy discovering new products that work well with my skin.

On Skincare

My morning routine – I start with a shower, ending with 30 seconds of cold water. Then I add a Biologique Recherche, Lotion P50, Pigm400 toner, a Balance Me face mist, then the Aesop, Lucent Facial Concentrate serum, then the Dr Sturm, Face Cream rich cream, and finally I finish it the Dr Sturm, Face Cream rich suncream.

My evening routine – I wash my face with Elemis, Pro-Collagen Naked Cleansing Balm, then I add toner, and then the Oskia, Retinoid Sleep Serum lvl 2 night serum, then a mist Balance Me, Beauty Sleep Mist, then I add the Tata Harper, Eye Cream eye cream. Lastly, I finish with a thick layer of Eucerin, Urea Repair face cream.

On Haircare

I try to only wash my hair once a week to preserve its natural oils. However, I do wet my hair during my morning showers and apply leave-in conditioner, as I have curls that can appear dry without proper care. I use Leonor Greyl products for both conditioning and shampoo.

On Make-up

It is very rare that I use makeup. On these occasions though I’ll add a thick layer of skin-food cream from Weleda to add some shine and glow. Then I’ll add some concealer from Bobbi Brown, That’s about it.

On Health and Wellness

Uh, I have a few routines that I feel I need to keep up with, in order to maintain my mindset and career.

Each morning, I start my day with a hearty breakfast and a big glass of water infused with fresh-pressed lemon and spirulina powder, alongside my daily vitamin supplements.

Here’s my daily wellness routine:

  • 5 times a week I do Pilates reformer.
  • 6 times a week I visit the sauna for some relaxation and detoxification after my gym sessions.
  • Once a week I schedule a cryotherapy session to help flush out toxins and reduce puffiness and excess fluids in my body.
  • I’m very diligent about maintaining my hydration with 3 liters of water every day.
  • I like to amp up my coffee with a little extra by adding collagen powder.

And as part of my monthly self-care, I have a facial treatment. This routine keeps me feeling my best day in and day out.

On Fragrance

I like to think of my perfumes as a scent that follows the times of the year. More fresh in the summer and deep in the winter times.

I’m obsessed with perfumes and I have quite a bit of a collection. Many of these fragrances are shared with my boyfriend, as they possess a unisex feeling, neither too masculine or classic feminine scents. My favourites include Tom Ford, Diptyque, Frédéric Malle, Aesop, and Comme des Garçons. They all are the best perfumes!
