What does Beauty mean to you?

For me, beauty is all about confidence. Some days, it comes naturally—I wake up feeling good in my skin without needing to do much. Other days, it takes a bit more effort—when I’m not feeling my best, spending time getting ready in the morning helps me reconnect with myself and feel more in control of my day.

On Skincare

AM: I don’t wash my face in the morning; I just rinse it in the shower. If my eyes are puffy, I splash them with cold water or massage them with a cold jade roller (I keep it in my fridge). Then, I apply Hyalu B5 from La Roche-Posay under my eyes and vitamin C on my face and neck (I alternate between Ren Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream and Lesse Essential Moisturizer). When I look extra pale in Winter, I mix the vitamin C with a few drops of Concentré Bonne Mine from La Rosée or Self Tan Addition from Clarins. Then I apply SPF 50+, and I’m ready for makeup.

PM: I double-cleanse before bed. Depending on how my skin feels, I’ll either apply a retinol cream (Enotime Star Retinol from Codexial), an exfoliating face mask (Radiance Mask from Tata Harper or Glow from Patyka), a rich pharmacy cream, or… nothing if I’m too tired or lazy.

In Their File

On Makeup

My favourite products include; Touche Éclat from YSL, my absolute must-have for the past 15 years. I use it as a concealer for dark circles, to reduce redness, or to add light to certain areas (cupid’s bow, eyelids). Erborian CC Cream – I love all-in-one products. I mix two different shades to match my skin tone perfectly. And I like any cheap eyebrow pencil with a small brush. Right now, I’m using the Retractable Brow Pencil from Sephora. I also love Chanel Rouge Coco in shade 468 Michelle – the perfect nude lipstick.

On Haircare

My hair is quite thin and wavy, with lots of greys. I don’t dye it because I don’t want to damage it or commit to monthly salon visits. Honestly, some days I love it, some days I hate it, but I don’t want to spend too much time worrying about it. My greys often spark conversations with other women, who candidly ask why I don’t dye them or warmly compliment me on them.
I wash my hair every two days with Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste and conditioner. Lately, I’ve also been using the Rose Pale shampoo and conditioner from Non Fiction. Then, I apply whichever hair moisturizer I have on hand. In Summer, I let my hair air-dry and embrace the waves. In winter, I blow-dry it straight. On day two, I usually tie it up in a sleek bun with lots of hair mask and oil to keep it shiny and neat.

On Health and Wellness

I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting for four years now (I eat lunch and dinner but skip breakfast). It plays a big role in my well-being, giving me more energy and fewer cravings.
I work out irregularly, but I love cardio (running, boot camp, or cycling classes) and climbing. I also walk a lot with my dog, and when the weather allows, I cycle instead of taking public transport.
Running my bag brand FANE is a demanding but exciting journey. During busy periods, I make sure to manage stress by doing breathing exercises three times a day with a coherence breathing app. And when I need an extra reset, a hypnosis session helps me refocus and recharge.

On Fragrance

Unfortunately, I have very little sense of smell—I’ve been this way since I was a kid. I always need a friend’s opinion when buying perfumes or scented products (candles, home fragrances).

For years, I’ve worn a unisex fragrance: Untitled by Margiela. I love its green, floral notes and how light it feels.

A Beauty tip you swear by?

I have two very quick beauty hacks that I swear by:
Every morning, I use the 30 seconds in my elevator to apply lipstick—both on
my lips and as a quick blush.
And, I always keep a clear nail polish at my desk. I apply a coat as soon as I get to work and let it dry while I check my emails. That way, my nails always look polished with minimal effort.
