What does Beauty mean to you?

Beauty is time, energy and care. It is not just about daily effort, but rather the layers of experience – sight, scent, sound, touch – that shape how we feel. The most beautiful people, and things, are crafted slowly over time. Everyone should embrace beauty in a way that aligns with their life.

I believe true radiance comes from being nurtured and happy, laughter and connection are truly the best medicine. Nobody is more beautiful than when they are confident in their own skin. It is infectious!

On Skincare

I find levity in a structured morning and evening routine. I cleanse with a multi-use compressed cellulose facial sponge, then apply a vitamin C. Followed by Lesse ritual serum or Costa Brazil face oil, and SPF50+. I stock up on Ultra Violet in Australia.

At night, I remove the day with Bioderma’s micellar water on intrinsics cotton wipes, which upgrade any product application or removal. Cleanse. and then I layer a serum or oil with my moisturizer. MSB and iS Clinical’s products are superb. Being consistent with ‘a face mask practice’ once or twice a week makes a visible difference, Biologique Recherche’s offering are old trusted friends.

Skincare is an investment I never regret. Having struggled with acne as a teenager, I know its impact on confidence – so much ties back to gut health, hormones and often avoidable stress

On Makeup

I love the glow that an illuminating highlighter provides prior to any make-up. Kosas glow enhancer in spark or Saie starglow super gel are favorites. My preference is a light-medium coverage CC cream, paired with Kosas concealer in 2.5C. Blended with an Exa sponge. Merit bronzer stick in Leo on my cheekbones & eyelids.

Blush cheeks by Westman Atelier I am very loyal to. Along with Chanel lip liner & an accompanying rose toned or apricot lipstick. Charlotte Tilbury’s brow lift stick in taupe with a KS & Co. brow gel, topped off with Chanel highlighter in golden light on the eyelids and where the sun would touch. Westman Atelier eye want you mascara in le brun clean. If I am on borrowed time, I pencil my brows & line my lips, which elevates things a little.

On Haircare

I usually let my hair air-dry, applying Quai oil while still damp, although the water on the West Coast is different, so I have found myself wearing it up a lot more. partly out of convenience.

Hair stylist Adlena Dignam introduced me to a long, narrow bristle brush for a sleeker look, which makes a huge difference. When wearing my hair down, I enjoy using the same Quai hair oil once dry. I have collected some beautiful hair accessories, from Patricia Von Musulin & Sophie Buhai to some finds from New York & French pharmacies.

On Health and Wellness

Now a dear friend, I was introduced to Amy Nelms of Flatiron Pilates around eight years ago through Alexandra Agoston. Amy’s nuanced approach showed me how an exceptional teacher can shift your perspective on exercise, equipping you to want to stretch and strengthen independently. She’s a reminder that movement is as powerful for the mind as it is for the body. Laughs are always a non-negotiable with Amy too.

Now on the West Coast, we are surrounded by exceptional hikes, and I have recently joined the Kyle Miller hot yoga fan club at Silver Springs

I learned meditation in 2014. Uma Mother founder Patti Quintero, is an unbelievable educator in Los Angeles, I couldn’t recommend more highly. When I am consistent, the impact and ripple effect on my life is undeniable.

For wellness, I take The Nue Co probiotics, WeNatal, and recently added Heart & Soil beef organs and Quinton Seawater Minerals for energy and recovery. Although honestly, hydration and consistency with my sleep make the biggest difference. On the days I slip, they are the best reset.

On Fragrance

I have been wearing Dear Polly by Vilhelm for the last ten years. When I discovered it upon its launch, I loved that it was not a notable branded scent which was so common at the time. In saying that, this past year I have been wanting to wear more natural fragrances.

I absolutely love using a custom abyanga body oil crafted from sesame from Surya, along with Lumira’s roll-on perfume oil – it is a glorious small addition to keep in your bag. They don’t use genetically modified ingredients so I feel my tendencies for scent shifting in this direction. Corpus deodorant in third rose is lovely too.

What products are always in your handbag?

A Chanel lip pencil, lip balm, mints, floss, hand cream and SPF. A pen, note pad and the FT Weekend or a small book for any windows of time when I can get a page in. These days also Coterie wipes!

FACE

In Los Angeles I really appreciate Joomee Song and Sonia Vargas’ approach to facial massage, they illustrate that our hands are truly the only tool we need.

While Rachele Facchini at JTAV in NY has provided amazing results with her facials, supporting the vibrancy and texture of my skin.

HAIR

I see Tommy Buckett in  NY and Brock Billings & Frederique Carme at Amy Huson on Rose in LA for my hair. For eyebrows, the team at Striiike in Beverly Hills are wonderful.

BODY

There are a few incredible physicians based in Paris; Luca Bagnara of la maderothérapie, Livia Panciatici and Anouk Biard.

Also, Lubia Simoes really helped me postpartum with her lymphatic drainage expertise.
