As cheesy as this may sound, I really believe it to be true: beauty comes from within.

Celebrities will try to demonstrate it, beauty brands will try to define it but no definition or portrayal of beauty will be more powerful than the one you give yourself.

I have done a tremendous amount of work on strengthening my “positive self-talk” and releasing the need to be perceived a certain way. I talk about this a lot on TikTok but there is a certain confidence that comes with turning 30. You understand yourself better, you feel more comfortable being in your own skin and it is so freeing. I have never felt more beautiful than I do now at this age.

Healthy skin is a puzzle made up of many pieces —  topical products, diet, stress management, water intake, treatments and facials.

I use The Wilds Serum and Day Cream in the AM, Cleanser and Night Cream for PM. I also use the ZO Complexion Renewal Pads a few times a week. For sunscreen, I love Suntegrity for something tinted (super hydrating and really nice coverage), and Dune Suncare for something non-tinted (absorbs beautifully and lots of skincare-forward ingredients).

I keep refined sugar to a minimum and lots of water to flush it all out when I do happen to indulge.

There are 4 products I swear by for frizz-free, silky and shiny hair.

1. Virtue shampoo and conditioner: they have several different formulas to address/target different concerns. I use the “Smooth” formula.

2. Virtue “Hydrating and Restorative” Hair Mask: I leave this in for 24 hours and it leaves my hair feeling so silky and it smells incredible.

3. Color Wow Dream Coat: there are two formulas for this, one for those who air dry their hair and the second for those that typically use some form of heat. You only need to use once every 4-5 rinses but is incredible for frizz management and just giving your hair that “Hollywood” shine.

4. Bumble and Bumble “Invisible Oil”: this is my hero product. Frizz controller, heat protector and hydrator but doesn’t leave your air feeling sticky or greasy.

Taking care is the term I love to use, it feels less like a concept and more like a verb, making me feel inherently more accountable.

For me it takes a few different forms:

When it comes to food I avoid fried foods, inflammatory oils and refined sugars. Also I add AG1 in a glass of water every morning.

For exercise, I do Mat or Reformer Pilates, 3x a week and daily walks with Frank and a long forest or beach walk on the weekends.

My rituals involve pilates, facials once every 2-3 months, reflexology and massages 2-3 a year.

I am unwaveringly loyal to my Fiele Fragrances in the scent Santalum. It has a beautiful creamy woody scent profile and I have never been asked about a fragrance more than this one. I have repurchased 3 times in the last year…

My mother is fifty-something (any more specific and she’ll have my head) and looks decades younger than she is. She has never been a drinker or a smoker and avoids the sun as much as possible.
