The most beautiful people to me are the ones with the biggest smiles and loudest laughs.
What does beauty mean to you?
On Skincare
In the morning I splash my face with water and then use Nimue Fader Serum. I have sun damage and hyperpigmentation from never wearing suncream when I was younger – this has helped so much with giving me an even skin tone. Then I use Nimue SPF 40 Suncream.
Evening I start with double cleaning using DP Dermaceuticals Tri-Phase cleanser. I do a facial massage with my hands as a way of rubbing it in (I’d be lying if I said I did this every night.) Then I use an Oskia Vitamic C capsule and lather on my DP Derma Moisturiser – Vitamin Rich Repair. My routine is pretty simple… but I then try and see a facialist once a month to give me that extra glow!
I also love using the Oskia Hyaluronic Acid Serum on my body. I have the massive bottle but still seem to go through it very quickly I use it so often. I prefer it to a moisturiser.
In Their File
‘I have the massive bottle but still seem to go through it very quickly I use it so often. I prefer it to a moisturiser.’
‘Nothing relaxes me quite like having a bath.’
‘I use A LOT of it and put it on like a highlighter on the higher parts of my cheeks. I feel like it lifts my face.’
‘My favourite fragrance.’
‘I’ve found it really difficult to find a clean suncream that works well… and finally!’
On Make-Up
Normally after putting my suncream on I use Chantecaille’s Tinted Moisturiser. I use this as a concealer as I find concealers can be really heavy and look thick and cakey on my areas of dry skin. Chantecaille’s Tinted Moisturiser glides on and gets rid of my red patches giving me a more even skin tone, whilst still looking super natural. I use the shade ‘glow.’ Then I use Chantecailles Cheek Gelee. I use A LOT of it and put it on like a highlighter on the higher parts of my cheeks. I feel like it lifts my face. I then put lipstick on – this is the one thing I change constantly. My favourite at the moment is Lancôme’s L’absolu Rouge in colour 276 ‘Timeless Appeal’. I top up my blush with this when I’m out too!
If I’m going out in the evening, I use the CC Tinted Moisturiser but give myself more coverage. I add in the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand for my bronzer. Then again… lots of blush! Lately, I’ve been using my Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand as an eye shadow too. I put a bit on my hand then use a brush to shadow it in. If I’m feeling wild I might add some shimmer to the centre… I use Chantecailles Iridescent Eye Shade in colour quartz. I also use CC mascara. I then finish it off with either of two Charlotte Tilbury lip liners – Pillow Talk medium, or if it’s an event, Savage Rose.
Your haircare routine, the products you use and any tips or recommendations you may have?
I use the all-natural Rahua Shampoo and Conditioner. I love the smell and it doesn’t have any strange chemicals in it.
On Health and Wellness
I recommend Wellness Formula by Source Naturals to anyone whenever they are starting to feel run down. Its magic! Almost always make me feel better. Daily meditation or breath work mentally helps me a lot, but nothing relaxes me quite like having a bath. Make it extra special with Susana Kaufman Bath Oil and a Perfumer H Candle. My favourite is the woodland scent.
On Rituals
Having a facial as often as possible feels like a real luxury. Having warm towels on your face that smell amazing. Beats a massage for me.
I find exercise to also be incredibly important both physically and mentally. It took me a while to find something I like, but finally found pilates which I do 4 times a week. I also walk a lot!
