What does Beauty mean to you?

Someone who is healthy both in spirit and body is automatically beautiful. I must admit in spirit is more important. I noticed that with age, what’s inside you really shows up on your face and posture.

On Skincare

I never used anything but vegetable oils for my face and body, which I buy from different brands available in a local organic shop. I wash my face with water and I sometimes make a clay mask. Since a few years I like to give myself a quick lymphatic face massage using my hands (I watched the video on YouTube when urgently needed to de puff my face).

For body, I make natural scrubs with mixture of oil, grounded coffee and honey. Somehow I was never introduced to this whole morning/evening sophisticated routine, and beauty products in general. I might start one day, who knows.

On Haircare

Here again it’s very simple, a dry shampoo from organic shop. I change it all the time cause I still haven’t found the one I love. I don’t use a dryer or a brush. I know it’s quite shocking for many. But I feel like drying hair is a waist of time and I was traumatized by morning hair brushing sessions before school. I love olive oil for my hair, whenever they get dry.

Favourite make up products

Rosehip oil! And also tea tree oil for emergency pimple rescue.

I love using an orangey red matte lipstick (currently from Glossier – Matte Lipstick) and nude Yves Saint Laurent.

Otherwise a lip pencil that is a few tones darker than my natural lip colour, if I feel like having exaggerated shape of lips.

On Health and Wellness

I smoke, and drink wine and love raving til morning. So I have to somehow balance it.

Nutrition is very important! I eat whole and plant based foods. Lots of fruits and greens. That’s how you get all the necessary vitamins and minerals, and therefore energy. But I am not as radical as I used to be, so I indulge sometimes on raw milk cheese and recently I started to eat eggs occasionally when there are no other options. I think the best way of choosing your eating habits is through listening to your body. I add superfoods like Reishi, Maca, Spirulina etc and just rotate them. Another very important thing is stress management and a healthy mindset. Maybe it’s 60 % of how you feel and look and 40% is nutrition and 10% genes. My sport routine is walking a lot, quick body stretching in the morning and of course dancing.

Fun fact, I never take any medicine and I have a phobia of hospitals. So any grandma remedy is the solution for me if needed.

On Rituals

Morning stretch very is important. Honestly it takes 10 minutes but changes everything. Occasionally I do some Pilates using random YouTube videos (there are so many).

Walking is very good as well, it calms my mind and clarifies my head. Whenever I feel anxious or overwhelmed or angry, I go for a walk.

I looove deep tissue massage and sauna, but it’s rare when I am in Paris.

On Fragrance

Somebody gave me a special perfume once upon a time, it was made by that person. It smelled holy and woody and bit spicy. It was the only perfume I used. And since it finished I haven’t found a scent that I like. I mean I like some when I try but they feel like an unnatural layer on me after a while.

Your Beauty Secrets..

Not to be obsessed by looks and care more about your soul and others. Also I advocate for everything natural and a wiser consumption.
