My beauty philosophy is about feeling good. For me that means taking a holistic approach–caring for my inner and outer world.
I feel best when I take good care of myself–tuning in to self compassion, moving my body, going into nature, practicing gratitude, getting enough sleep, enjoying fulfilling relationships, fostering a creative practice.
I think being human is beautiful, flaws definitely included. Our messiness is both revealing of our individuality and unifying, a portrait of the human condition. Glimpses of vulnerability and raw humanness are captivating. As cliche as it may sound, isn’t the act of caring one of the most beautiful things? I adore witnessing or experiencing caring for other people, oneself, living things, the planet, or individual passions.
More on the nose, I’ve been embracing low maintenance beauty for a few years. I used to feel I needed to present a certain version of myself on the outside but have found it liberating to let myself be without all that self imposed pressure. I’m embracing being a little disheveled and unlearning perfectionism. I find the most beauty in care and connection.
