Beauty is in everything and everyone. There is beauty in humans, routines, desires and hope. I believe that being alive is beautiful and whoever experiences life is beautiful too. If I think trucks, horses and land are beautiful maybe it’s a form of appreciation, acceptance and inspiration.
What does Beauty mean to you?
On Skincare
My cleanser: Cera Ve hydrating Facial Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Cleanser.
My serum (a new thing for me): Aveeno Calm + Restore Triple Oat Serum. This helps keep my sensitive skin calm. I also tried the Clarins Double Serum, it’s lovely…very light for under moisturizer.
My moisturizer: Cera Ve Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
Also… not typical but l often find myself using body lotion on my face. I love how thick it is. In the winter I also abuse skin food. I love that stuff. Stays on all day.
At night I like to use Mantle’s ‘The Dream Mask’. It’s a cbd night mask. I rub it in and sleep with it on. When I wake up my face feels baby soft.
Every once in a while I use a sheet mask. I love the Dr. Jart masks. The Vitamin C mask is my favorite. I also love the No7 Lift & Luminate Mask. It hooks around your ears. I appreciate that it doesn’t fall off. I once fell asleep with it on and woke up with it still on! Lol. I was so relaxed.
For body I keep it simple. I use Dove Sensitive Skin Wash, and anything coconut scented for lotion. Trader Joe’s has a thick body butter I always go back to… it also changes seasonally. A friend of mine recently recommended Nubian heritage goats milk and chai body lotion. It smells heavenly.

‘Aquaphor has truly been the only thing that really works for me. I use many chapsticks I love as well but aqua stays in place, hydrates and doesn’t leave that outer layer feeling. …where it’s almost just sitting on the lips, not actually hydrating. I also use it on my elbows, dry spots on my face and around my nose during cold season when it gets dry.’
‘When I first entered the fashion world I discovered this cream. My first job on set the makeup artist used this cream on me and I was instantly sold. It’s light, smooth, but still rich. I like how it sets into the skin nicely and doesn’t leave a greasy look…even though I also love a greasy look. Coming from Montana I was clueless on makeup, skin care and beauty… so naturally I became a sponge to learning and watching. When I travel to Paris for work I always pick a couple of tubes up.’

‘Ahhh my beloved. I love skin food and how it makes my skin feel. They weren’t lying with the name. On days where we are shooting beauty and my skin is pretty much raw I always opt for this when I leave. I love how rich it is and it doesn’t budge a bit. After a shower I love to apply it before bed.. sometimes when I wake up it’s still very much there. This has healed my skin from extreme dryness many many times. It’s even great for the hands.’
‘I actually just discovered this brand and I love it!! I was gifted this after a show..(thank you:-) and I love this mask. I apply before bed and sleep with it on. It soaks in quickly and I wake up feeling sooo soft and plump. It smells divine and it’s so comforting without feeling heavy or clogging.’
‘This is another product I discovered through work. I forgot about it for some time and recently saw it in CDG airport and have been hooked since. I love the versatility of this product. Sometimes I apply it on my eyelids with or without makeup for a glossy lid effect.. or the cheeks on the high bone for a highlighter. Always the lips. I love the smell…I know some don’t:) it’s a perfect light, stay all day shine.’
On Haircare
Hair is not my forte. I keep it simple. I wash and condition my hair with oribe beautiful color. It smells wonderful and is super hydrating. I color my hair so I like to believe it preserves it a bit longer. Conditioner is my favorite product.
After I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair quickly which I always hear is a big no-no. But it works for me. I usually just let it air dry how it naturally wants to. But recently I started using R&CO Twister Curl Primer. I love that it’s light and doesn’t make my hair crunchy. I can barely tell it’s in, it just helps control my frizz!
On Make-up
When I am not at work I am makeup free. The only time I apply makeup myself is for a holiday/birthday/special occasion. I actually adore makeup I just haven’t quite nailed it yet.
What works for me is keeping it simple. I loveeeee mascara. It makes a huge difference for me because naturally I have very blonde eyelashes. I have been using great lash since middle school!! I like the big version. It never clumps for me. I also love to take a black/brown or grey eyeshadow and dip my finger in it and blenddddddd it almost completely out on my lid. Make it barely there. Just a hint.
I avoid anything on my skin. I don’t like the look of it on me. I make sure to really hydrate my skin and leave it bare.
For the lips I use the Milk Makeup Kush Lip Glaze, it’s shiny like gloss but hydrating. I love the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil. The cherry or pink is so pretty and light. I need to get a new bottle it’s been a while since I brought her out. I can only handle lip gloss for a few minutes though, after a that I’m back to chapstick. My favorite chapstick is Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm. It’s my holy grail. At night I like the Vanilla Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.
On Health and Wellness
Vitamins have been a new thing for me.
I love a women’s gummy daily. I recently started taking magnesium, iron, ashwaganda and calcium.
I walk a lot living in NYC. Walks are my favorite. I spent my entire school life being an athlete. I was a runner. I ran for the first time in years with a friend last summer. Haven’t run again since…but I’ve been craving it. So I think I’ll make a point to try again. I like to walk outside in nature, leisurely. I enjoy yoga..the slow yummy kind, at your own pace. I like any movement that feels natural. I have a hard time getting into any exercise routine that is too demanding on my body. I find it does more harm than good for me. Mat Pilates is enjoyable for me. Every once in a while I’ll pop on a 15/20 minute YouTube video to follow. Next year I plan to incorporate more Pilates. I’d like to gain more strength.
I journal as often as I can, and close my eyes when I take the train and use that as some sort of meditation. I like to lay in bed and allow my brain to quiet down. Any down time is meditation for me.
On Rituals
I recently had my first massage. That was lovely.
My best friend and I like to watch movies with face masks on. I love to get pedicures. The nail salon is very comforting to me.
I also started using a natural sea sponge loofa. I love it!!
On Fragrance
When I was in high school I had just lost my mom. I was having a hard time showing up for school and was needing a female figure to look up to, talk to, be inspired by, relate to, love. My volleyball coach bought me Marc Jacob’s Daisy for prom. I used to spray it in my car ducts every morning and blast the heat. She helped me so much in my life and in teaching me how to be a woman. In a full circle moment my first ever fragrance campaign was for Marc Jacob’s.
The smell is forever nostalgic and comforting to me.
I don’t actually wear perfume everyday. I oddly like my natural human smell.
Your Beauty Secrets..
I like to put lotion on my feet and immediately put socks over to let it soak in. I love JINsoon Cuticle Oil. It’s saved my nails and skin.
The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser is a must for makeup remover. Use it dry!!!!! Rub it on without water on dry skin.
What is always in your handbag?
Aquaphor, Benetint and Nivea cream.
Delilah’s Directory..
