Being born into creative royalty, with parents Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger, can of course come with its pressures. But Georgia May Jagger doesn’t seem to be swept up in any of it – nor does she ride on anyone else’s coattails. She presents and continues to live, that success and greatness isn’t something you’re born into. It’s something that arrives from working for it.
Entering the modelling world at 14, Georgia quickly understood the ridiculousness and insecurity the industry circulates amongst women. She credits her mum, legendary supermodel Jerry Hall as her greatest support – someone who has lived through it all – for helping to stay level-headed, and not be brainwashed by the craziness and pressures of the modelling industry. Georgia does not let glamour and fame dictate what’s important, valuing that life is about dedication, work, and consistency.
Passionate about skin and hair, Georgia became an investor and co-owner of London’s iconic hair salon Bleach in 2019. This move became the foundation of her backing products she truly believes in, leading her to her latest venture, May Botanicals, her namesake, clean skincare line that launched in late 2023. Recently, she was also named the British Beauty Council’s Wellness Ambassador for 2025, a role to champion and shape the future of British beauty.
Aware that the current beauty landscape was already very saturated, Georgia still felt something was missing from a holistic approach to skincare that would nurture the skin without harming ingredients. Due to her own struggles with sensitive skin, Georgia’s passion for creating products is solely derived from what she was searching for herself.
She’s been involved in every part of her business – from learning how to create a website, to handpicking the ingredients for each product, Georgia has personally invested all her resources into the brand. This is not just another case of a celebrity lending their face to a brand. The brand is Georgia.
None of her products use the words ‘anti-ageing’. She laughs at the ridiculousness of this concept in our conversation, and again credits a lot of her principles back to her mum’s philosophy on ageing, who, as a supermodel in her late sixties, has never had Botox or surgery, and remains completely confident with who she is. To grow up with this mentality around you makes for a very solid foundation.
Now as a new mother to her son, and a business founder and investor, it’s inspiring to see the dedication, love, and passion Georgia brings to all aspects of her life. Though she is the first to call bullsh** on the pressures new mums are under to have it all and do it all, it seems Georgia naturally handles all of life as it comes to her, with a wonderful take on what truly matters.
“A serum-based mask that’s 100% kelp. It’s biodegradable but is infused with a collagen-producing serum with aloe, mountain peony, peach and pear extracts. It is super hydrating, which is amazing for me as I have quite dry skin so I go for all the hydrating things.”
