For me, beauty is being comfortable in your own skin. It’s happiness and the kind of kindness that naturally radiates outward. When you feel at ease with yourself, everything else falls into place.
What does beauty mean to you / what’s your personal beauty philosophy?
On Skincare
My skincare routine is relatively simple because my skin is very sensitive and prone to breakouts. I’m cautious about trying new products, so I tend to stick with the ones that consistently keep my skin clear. I cleanse with the Avène Tolérance Extremely Gentle Cleanser, which never irritates me, and follow with the Avène Hydrance Light Lotion.
In winter, when my skin is drier from the cold, I’ll apply LESSE oil during the day for extra moisture. For sunscreen, I use the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun, which is honestly one of the best sunscreens I’ve ever tried. It’s light, invisible, and gentle on my skin.
For body care, I use the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Fluide after every shower or bath; it leaves my skin soft and hydrated without feeling heavy.
What are your most loved make-up essentials and why?
When it comes to makeup, I keep things very minimal because I love the no-makeup makeup look. My essentials are the YSL All Hours Concealer for its seamless finish, the Chanel Les Beiges foundation for its breathable, natural coverage, and the SAIE Slip Tint baked setting powder, which sets without looking dry.
For lips, I always reach for MAC’s lip liner in Stone and usually layer the SAIE lip gloss over it for a soft, natural sheen. I rarely wear mascara. It’s something I’ve never really liked. And for blush, I love the Merit Flush Balm in Bespoke, which gives a subtle, perfect flush. If I’m feeling a little extra fancy, I love the new Louis Vuitton Lipstick in Rouge Satin.

On Hair
My hair care routine is currently centered on the new shampoo and conditioner from colourist Andreas Kurkowitz in Berlin, which I’ve been testing. (It will be out soon, so stay tuned!) It has genuinely improved the health of my curls, making them more defined and nourished. On days when I need extra curl revival, I sometimes use the Kérastase second-day curl treatment. To brush out my curls before showering, I use the Mason Pearson Bristle Brush.
We would love you to share your health and wellness philosophy including any rituals or practices that you incorporate into your health routine.
One of my key wellness rituals is taking a bath almost every evening or every other evening. I turn off all the lights, light some candles, put my phone away, and play calming music or ambient sounds. This routine helps me relax, especially when the city’s fast pace feels too much.
I also work out a few times a week with mat pilates.
On Fragrance
I like woody, darker scents for fragrance. I have been enjoying the new Bottega Veneta fragrance, Hinoki. This scent is inspired by hinoki wood from Japan, which is often used in bathing rituals. It brings to mind the calm feeling of soaking in a warm hinoki bath near Mount Kōya, where it’s misty and quiet. It has a grounding, warm, and nostalgic quality that I really love in a fragrance.
Do you have one beauty tip that you absolutely swear by?
Less is more.
We would love to know who you recommend to see for top beauty treatments when it comes to skin, hair, body, nails.
For hair, I highly recommend seeing Kurkowitz Colour in Berlin. His understanding of color is truly special.
