What does beauty mean to you?

To me, beauty is a feeling before it’s a look. It’s about softness, confidence, and a sense of ease in your own skin. I’ve always believed that beauty should feel lived-in, not forced, like the glow you have after a day in the sun or a really good laugh. My philosophy is simple: take care of yourself in ways that feel nurturing, not punishing. Less perfect, more real.

On Skincare

In the morning, I wash my face with cold water, nothing else. Then I mist my face with La Roche-Posay zerozinc. If my eyes are puffy, I press a cotton pad soaked with cornflower water over them – it works wonders and If I need extra help I’ll use Skin Iceland eye patch.

Then I apply Lipinorm Tonic a purifying toner from Dr. Janka, followed by Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster. After that, I massage in Dr. Janka’s Carotin face cream – I like to take five minutes with the massage to help depuff and wake up my skin. I finish with sunscreen, and I’m currently obsessed with Lesse’s new Every Tone SPF 30 – it  blends so well on the skin.

At night, I cleanse with Dr. Janka’s Lavakos face wash – if I’ve been wearing makeup, I’ll double cleanse with it to make sure everything is fully removed or I’ll use the make up removing oil from Typology. Then I apply the Lipinorm Tonic, also from Dr. Janka.

After that, I use the Venn regenerative ampoule face serum and Rescue Serum from Osmosis, which both helps support skin regeneration. I finish by mixing two creams from Dr. Janka – Crème Spezial and Milch-Héfé. The Spezial is an oxygenating cream, and Milch-Héfé contains zinc, which is amazing for calming inflammation and keeping breakouts in check. if I do have breakouts, I’ll apply a bit more of the Spezial cream – it truly works wonders.

In Eleonore’s File

“This is my go-to for a little skin detox. It helps keep my skin clear and balanced, especially when I use it twice a week. I love how fresh my skin feels after.”

“It smells incredible and is deeply hydrating without feeling heavy. I use it year-round, whether it’s summer or winter. I’m honestly obsessed.”

“It blends beautifully over skincare without leaving a white cast, and it’s the only sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t make me break out. I have very sensitive skin, so that’s a big deal.”

“I can’t stop using this. It makes such a difference in my skin’s texture and glow – my husband steals it all the time too, that’s how good it is.”

On Makeup

For daytime, I keep things super minimal. I start with the EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 tinted sunscreen then I’ll apply La Roche-Posay Anthelios spf 50 on my chest. Then I’ll dab a bit of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes and anywhere I have redness.

For the cheeks, I love the SAIE Dew Blush – especially the shades Heart and Chilly. They give that perfect sun-kissed glow, like you just came back from the beach. I also rotate in the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Stick, which is one of my all-time favorite blushes.

I’ll curl my lashes with the Shiseido eyelash curler (the best), and that’s usually it for daytime.

At night, if I’m going out, I like to have fun and play a bit more with makeup (though, to be honest, it’s still very minimal – I barely know how to do my makeup). I’ll use the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – it’s lightweight, gives beautiful coverage, and still looks like skin. For the eyes, I love the Les Beiges palette from Chanel, paired with the brown mascara from Tower 28 or the Eye Want you mascara from Westman Atelier. Sometimes I’ll do a soft smoky eye with the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cocoa – I’ve been using it for years. It gives such a nice look. I’ll finish with a light touch of beauty butter bronzer from Westman Atelier.

I don’t really love wearing lipstick on myself, but I’ll sometimes go for a gloss or something really natural. I love the Kiss gloss from SAIE, and there’s also a beautiful Hermès lipstick I’ll wear in shade 45 SAT Rose Ombre. Another favorite is the Byredo gloss in 204 Transparent – it was from a collection my friend Lucia Pica did with Byredo, and I just love anything she creates.

On Haircare

I’m obsessed with Crown Affair. I use their Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, and I alternate with the OI Shampoo and Conditioner from Davines – which I’ve been using forever. My hair loves both, so I like switching between them depending on what it needs.

One product I can’t live without is the Leave-In Conditioner from Crown Affair. It’s incredibly hydrating, which is essential for me – especially living in LA, where the air is so dry.

I don’t really do much in terms of styling or hairdressing, but if I’m going out, I’ll use the Texturizing Air Dry Mousse from Crown Affair. You just apply it to damp hair and let it air dry – it gives you really soft, natural curls with zero effort. That’s pretty much it. Very simple!

On Health And Wellness

I’ve become more and more into wellness and self-care since I moved to L.A. five years ago, where it’s such a big part of the culture.

I work out at least three times a week, switching between Pilates, yoga, and weight lifting depending on how I’m feeling. I also walk almost an hour every day thanks to my dog. I used to walk everywhere when I lived in Paris, and in L.A. it’s harder to maintain that, so I make it a point to do a 30-minute walk in the morning and again in the evening. I also go on hikes a couple times a week with friends – it’s one of my favorite things about living here. Having that kind of access to nature is something I really treasure.

I’ve been trying to meditate more, which hasn’t come naturally to me, but it’s a practice I’m working on. Overall, I feel like I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. Being a chef definitely helps, I know exactly what goes into my food, and I don’t eat out that much. I’d much rather cook a beautiful meal at home. I’m very intentional about where I source my ingredients, always going to the farmer’s market or buying organic. I really believe that what you put into your body matters deeply. It might sound cliché, but I do think of my body as my temple. Taking care of it feels like the most important thing I can do for myself.

I’m also pretty consistent with my supplements and rituals. Every morning, I start with a glass of hot water with lemon and fresh ginger, along with my probiotic from Metagenics and a dose of vitamin C from Cymbiotika. I also add collagen peptide powder from Forest Leaf to my coffee.

In the evening, I never skip my powdered magnesium from Moon Juice. It’s a game-changer. It helps with sleep, stress, and muscle recovery.

On Fragrance

I only wear Eau d’Essence from Diptyque, and I’ve been using it for so many years I can’t even remember when I started – probably in my early twenties, maybe even before. I’ve always been obsessed with orange blossom. There’s something about it that feels soft, clean, and familiar.

I don’t like when a perfume smells too strong or overpowering. What I love is when a fragrance becomes part of you – when people start to recognize you by your scent without it ever feeling obvious. Eau d’Essence has really become my smell in that way.

I also created a custom fragrance with my husband through Ex Nihilo –  it’s a beautiful blend of cedar, vetiver, vanilla, and musk. It feels really special to share a scent with him. It’s so nice to have a scent that belongs to both of us.

FACE

In Paris, I have two non-negotiable appointments every time I visit. The first is with Marie Depoulain, who does the most incredible Kobido face massage. She completely transformed my skin and introduced me to the entire Dr. Janka line, which healed my skin over the past few months. She’s truly amazing – I can’t recommend her enough.

In Los Angeles, I love going to Beverly Hills skincare muse with Jennifer. She has all the best machines and tools, and tailors each facial to your skin’s exact needs. She’s incredibly knowledgeable. I also see Nicolette Skin – I’ve been going to her for years and always trust her with my skin.

If I need a clearing facial, I go to Skin Worship – Madison is amazing. And recently, I discovered a new facialist named Reilley Lorene, she does beautiful, sculpting face massages, which I had been really missing in LA.

BODY

The second is a body lymphatic massage with Mariska Massage. Her hands are magic. It’s one of the most healing, relaxing massages I’ve ever experienced – I always leave feeling lighter, calmer, and completely reset. These two are my absolute musts in Paris.

Also in LA, one of my absolute favorite places is Olympic Spa, a Korean women-only spa that feels like the best-kept secret in the city. It’s where I go when I’m hungover, recovering from a flight, or just need to feel better. It’s the most healing, grounding, and restorative place – truly heaven.
