I really believe in natural beauty – I love seeing women with little to no make-up looking radiant and great.
What does Beauty mean to you?
On Skincare
In the morning I try to journal – even if it’s just 5 minutes. I dry brush before showering. I try a lot of products for our shop, to see what I think we should be selling. I am currently testing out Honey Purifying Cleanser which I love, otherwise, I use Lesse’s Refining Cleanser. Then I’ll use CAP Beauty’s Serotoner – I love a face mist. Then apply Honey’s Hydra Serum and Monastery’s Universal Balm +some Living Libations Poetic Pitts under my arms.
I love body oil too, especially in summer. I use F. Miller’s because it has the best smell and pump.
At night, I use the same cleanser but apply an evening Retinol from Marie Veronique. I also love Living Libations and spray their Sweet Pillow Perfume on my sheets before curling up with a good book in bed. Let’s not forget a great pair of Tekla pyjamas.
In Carmen's File
‘I use this for any blemishes and under my eyes.’
‘I use Ilia’s True Skin Serum Foundation on days I feel my skin is really dull, mostly in winter.’
‘I love this in colour Lovely on my cheeks.’

On Makeup
I go for a no make-up make-up look every day. So I use Ilia’s True Skin Serum Foundation on days I feel really dull, mostly in winter. I use Tata Harper’s Cream Blush in Lovely on my cheeks. Farah Homidi’s Essential Face Compact for any blemishes and under my eyes.
For the evening, I do the same unless it’s a wedding or a photoshoot then I’ll either ask my mom, auntie or a make-up artist to help. I’m terrible at make-up.
On Health and Wellness
I’ve been suffering from chronic hip pain, a year ago I started weight training to help heal my body. It’s worked and I’m still at it. I weight train twice a week, and I try to go swimming once a week. After both workouts, I do an infrared sauna. I’ve also switched from coffee to matcha, drink lots of water and eat lots of greens.
Any Beauty secrets?
I (and I know so many other women) bleach my moustache instead of threading or plucking. It’s worked for me since I was a teenager, and I’m so happy I’ve never plucked it.
‘This has a great glowing effect on my skin, and I love the smell.’
