What does Beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me means being able to take care of myself, practicing self love and actively putting my best foot forward for my physical and mental health. Through working out, eating well, sleep, a consistent beauty regimen and time to cultivate the little joys in life I can be the best version of myself.

My best beauty philosophy is to listen to your body and trust your instinct! Do what feels right, nothing is ever perfect, and that’s okay.

On Skincare

I am an avid face mask user, if I’m ever feeling puffy, tired or have a shoot I always put one on in the morning! I like the ones from Loops, 111SKIN or La Mer, and I suggest keeping them in the fridge. I then wash my face with the Christian Dior purifying hydrating face cleanser or the one from Ilia. I love any products from Augustinus Bader. I’m currently using their Retinol serum, I top that off with the N°1 De Chanel Red Camellia cream and finish off with the Skin Cycles SPF mist which is a game changer for anyone that doesn’t like the consistency of sunscreen. Throughout the day I use the lip buff from Refy, amazing for exfoliating!

In the evenings I usually use these same products minus the sunscreen mist and for more of an intense clean I love using the La Mer face wash. I also started incorporating a thicker face cream like the Silence facial Hydrator by Aesop and my body lotion is Diptyque

I always return back to any products from Clarins, my mother has always used them so it feels like a safe and comforting go to.

On Makeup

I love the Dior Forever Skin Perfect face stick because it acts as a foundation and concealer, easy to build on if I want more coverage and feels so light. With summer weather I’ve been doing minimal makeup but am obsessed with rosy cheeks so I use a blush from Pat Mcgrath. For an evening look I would choose a lip over an eye, Greige lip liner from Mac is an amazing brown and for more of a shine I highly recommend the lip gloss from Isamaya in Lotus.

On Haircare

A hair mask is also a must, I’ve used the ones from Ouai and Gisou. My hair is naturally pretty thick and wavy and I found the Shampoo and conditioner from Oribe works the best, as well as their nourishing hair oil

On Health and Wellness

My ritual in the morning is a ginger shot and reading for thirty minutes to clear my mind! I usually do a pilates or reformer pilates class before starting my day and make sure to walk as much as possible. My rule when taking public transportation is to always read instead of looking at my phone and I look forward to this little habit which makes me so happy. I’ve been more conscious of my sleep so getting at least eight hours is ideal for me.

Implementing a spontaneous museum visit, park or bookstore depending on the area I’m in really helps with my happiness and is a great break in my work day.

On Fragrance

For the last year I’ve been wearing Edimbourg by Chanel. It’s so special to me because I first discovered it on a trip I went on with them there and I’ve never I’ve never connected with a scent this much before!

A Beauty Tip

It’s all about trial and error, experiment as much as possible and there’s not just one right way of doing things! Have fun with it and always do what’s best for you.
