What does Beauty mean to you?

Balance of mind, body and soul has always been a very keen part of my beauty regime. I nourish my body from within by taking the right supplements and giving myself time to meditate and exercise. I try to walk as much as possible and not beat myself up about anything. I also make sure I take time to stretch, breathe and do breathwork sessions.

On Skincare

I don’t feel myself until I have smoothed, sculpted and depuffed my face with a gua sha or face tool.  It really helps my face look and feel better. I find it really lifts the brows, sculpts the cheekbones, defines the jawline and releases tension.I like the Jillian Dempsey gold bar and love the beautiful stone or jade Gua Shas.

I always double cleanse. My go-to is the Skin Design face bath, and I also love the Raaie Manuka Honey cleanser. I feel it’s important to have a good hyaluronic acid, I use Skin Design Hyaluronic Acid. I also use Raaie vitamin CBeauty of Joseon suncreen and the Tatcha lip-balm. I like the Monastery retinol and body oil and the Augustinus Bader body lotion.

“I don’t feel myself until I have smoothed, sculpted and depuffed my face with a gua sha or face tool.  It really helps my face look and feel better. I find it really lifts the brows, sculpts the cheekbones, defines the jawline and releases tension.”

“This brush detangles without splitting my hair and feels great on wet or dry hair. It’s also such a beautiful object and lasts forever.”

“This Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen acts as a moisturiser and sunscreen. I love the texture as it nourishes without that thick sunscreen feeling and over shine you often get from spf.”

“Skin Design Cherry Gloss Peel is delicious and works a treat. I indulge in this every other day to thoroughly cleanse and resurface the skin – without it being too strong.”

“I use these foundation sticks in a colour that’s significantly darker than my skin as a bronzer/ contour. It’s easy to use even if you don’t love putting on makeup and are quite low maintenance.”

“This Vitamin C serum has a beautiful texture, smells divine, and sinks in perfectly, making it a vital part of my daily routine.”

On Makeup

I don’t wear a lot of makeup in my day to day, and find that the most important thing is that the products are easy to use. I really love the Shiseido eyelash curlers as they open my eyes without the need for mascara. Bronzer on the eyelids is an easy no make-up make-up.

I love Ilia Makeup as it doesn’t have too many chemicals. I use their foundation sticks in a colour that’s significantly darker than my skin as a bronzer/ contour. It’s easy to use even if you don’t love putting on makeup, and are quite low maintenance. Westman Atelier foundation sticks are great for this as well!

For lips, I really love the Violette FR jelly lip balm. For eyes, I like the Glossier eye sticks as they’re easy chubby pencils. The VB eyeliner and her mascara are also great.

On Haircare

My hairtype is normal, wavy and coloured. I cut my hair really short and kept it short whilst I had my last baby, and since then I’ve been taking supplements, and uses shampoos and conditioners designed to let my hair grown long again. I use Type Bea and the Act Acre Stem Cell System for hair growth. I also love the ayurvedic hair oil from Kama Ayurveda’s shop in Westbourne Grove. For shampoo and conditioner, I use the peppermint shampoo by Malin Goetz

On Heath and Wellness

I am obsessed with face tooling for lymphatic draining, as makes my face look less puffy and more firm. I use the anté Beauty Facial Device as well as the Alex Eagle Sculpting tool. Dr Maryam Zamani’s MZ  LED mask is great for giving a glow, and improving the appearance of the skin. Otherwise, there’s nothing like a fresh walk to make your skin feel fresher and better. Also,I feel eyebrows shape and lift your whole face, I love Suzanne Martin, who does semi permanent eyebrows and Anu Khapung at 180 for eyebrow tinting and threading.

I buy huge amounts of pink salt and magnesium and put bucket loads in my bath every night. Love it for unwinding and detoxifying.

On Fragrance

Love the smell of rose geranium and sandalwood combined, that’s been the scent backdrop for probably the last 15 years of my life. It smells good in a room and sandal wood also works great on the body. As for perfume, I have worn Portrait Of A Lady for like 18 years.

Smell is so transporting, like how the smell of Santa Maria Pomegranate reminds me of my dad. Sometimes when I open up my suitcase, it smells like the Pelicano Hotel, and it instantly reminds me of a holiday, the same way that sunscreen brings you back to the beach.

A beauty tip you swear by

Don’t be fooled or swayed by trends, stay consistent.
