The Stylist Behind Roberta Pecoraro’s Model Curls

Hi all! My name is Roberta, also known as Robbie, Rob, Robo or Bert. Take your pick! I was born in the south of Italy, Sicily and was barely 2 years old when my family decided to move to Sydney, so I’m definitely considered an Aussie these days.

I’ve been a fulltime model for the past 5 years now, enjoying the adventures it has taken me on. Traveling would definitely be my favourite part of my job; immersing myself in different cultures and indulging in all the food that comes with it. I’m such a foodie! In my spare time, you’ll find me watching some form of cooking show, or I’ll be in the kitchen, surrounded by pots and pans, trying to take on my next recipe.

When it comes to beauty, I like to take the ‘less is more’ approach. I’ve never been a fan of wearing a lot of makeup on a day to day basis. Instead, I tend to keep it simple with a good foundation (read on) and brushed up brows. Finally, the wellness cureall most Australian girls swear by: the ocean. I’d say my skin feels most nourished after a long salty swim – there’s nothing quite like it.

  • When Winding Down, I Burn This:

To me, there’s nothing more relaxing than having a candle burning in the background while getting ready in the morning or winding down in the evening. I love ‘Fire’ by Orchard St, in particular, and the warm, spicy cinnamon scent it diffuses through my home.

And Then I'll Sip On Some Of This...

I’m such a ‘routine’ person, so every night after dinner, I’ll find a quiet space to enjoy a nice big cup of this T2 Detox Tea. It has licorice in it which is great for digestion. Another fun fact: I’ve found myself sleeping so well ever since I began drinking this tea.

    Curls, Curls, Curls!

Thanks to my hairdresser Paloma from Paloma in Paddington, I’m hooked on Oribe. I began by using their Gold Lust Repair & Restore line because of how damaged my hair was from my straightening days, but now I’ve moved on to their Supershine Brilliance & Shine products, which I absolutely love! Having fine curly hair, I struggle to find a shampoo and conditioner that doesn’t weigh down my curls. This way, my hair remains healthy and keeps its spring after every wash.

    My Second Skin

It may be on the pricier side but it’s worth it! I hate feeling like I’ve got makeup on so I find this cult classic foundation by Giorgio Armani to be super lightweight, leaving my skin looking so dewy and fresh.

The Scent I Have Been Wearing (Almost) Forever!

Once I had found Paco Rabanne Pure XS, I committed to it for good! It’s rich and sweet and bold without being too overpowering and I’ll never leave the house without a spritz (or three).
