The Beauty Philosophy(s) Bella Michlo Lives By
Hi guys! My name is Bella Michlo I’m a model and as well a student. I was born in a small town in Hungary but lived in Budapest from the age of 10 when I started my studies at the Hungarian Dance Academy. Now, I’m based in London.
When it comes to beauty I have two sentences: I live by ‘less is more’ and ‘quality over quantity’. I struggled a lot with skin issues as a teenager. I thought using more products on my skin was better. Today, my current skincare routine consists of only a handful of products – here they are!
Omorovicza Cashmere Cleanser
I only use this cleanser in the nighttime since my skin can get really dry. In the morning I just wash my face with cold water. I don’t use much make-up – just concealer and eyebrow gel on the daily – so a gentle face wash like this is enough for me to take everything off. It’s very hydrating which is a must…especially in winter.
Glossier Priming Moisturiser and Studio Botanic Cold Cream
Another everyday basic in my regimen is Glossier Priming Moisturiser every morning before applying anything else on my face. A makeup artist showed me this trick: I leave the cream to sit on my face before applying my concealer; as it blends in with the moisturiser, a natural, dewy look is achieved.
My Studio Botanic Cold Cream saves me during cold winter months. I use it on my body, good as a hand cream as well since I’m struggling with horrible gym hands. Sometimes I apply it on my face and lips for extra hydration.
Frank Body Lip Scrub
I can’t emphasise the importance of a good lip scrub. I scrub my lips every single morning before applying lip balm and it makes a huge difference. Exfoliating is crucial if I’m wearing a dark lip color.
Sulwhasoo Face Masks
I use Sulwhasoo facemasks once a week. First, I apply a thin layer of the Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask and let it sit on my face for 15-20 minutes, then peel it off. It really helps to exfoliate and renew my skin. After using it, I always wake up with a glowing complexion.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
If I’m dealing with a pimple or whiteheads, I’ll apply my (and just about every other beauty obsess-e’s) favourite Mario Badescu Drying Lotion on the problem area and let it sit overnight. The salicylic acid and calamine help to get rid of breakouts in no time.
