Love Is Still In The Air With These Fresh Scents
Happy V Day hangover, legends. Love is still lingering in the air, and we want all our favourite smells to be as well. Whether you’re about that self-love, platonic love, or romantic love, celebrate your ~feels~ by way of gifting yourself a new ~signature~ scent. At the moment we’re all about clean, crisp, regal scents that make us feel some type of way.
We’re eternally on the hunt for a scent that not only smells great, but also speaks to the type of person we are. Here are our favourite scents of the moment. Be your most sensual self. <3.
Christian Dior Bois D'Argent
Never have we ever fallen for a fragrance as hard and fast as we fell for Christian Dior Bois D’Argent. Dior’s Saint Laurent’s ingenious former creative director Hedi Slimane designed the luxe bottle and it’s def deserving of a spot in beauty cabinets everywhere. While the fragrance was primarily designed with the lads in mind, its mix of juniper berries, woody aromas and patchouli notes puts it right in the ladies corner. Love your work, Dior.
Byredo Black Saffron
Byredo Saffron Black was directly inspired by its creators trip to India, which translates into its crisp notes of Asian pomelo, saffron and juniper berries. The packaging is super minimal — aka everything we could ever want in a perfume bottle — and the scent as fresh as a summer’s day. It’s a subtle as it is sensual, and we want it on our bodies 24/7.
Sycomore by Chanel is a woody floral musk scent that’s perf for the sensual woman. Featuring vetiver, sandalwood, aldehydes, tobacco and violet, it’ll make you feel very important, like you have many leather-bound books, and like your apartment smells of rich mahogany all the time.
Dries Van Noten Par Frederic Malle
We haven’t seen a lineup this good since Coachella 2015. Sandalwood, guaiac wood, tonka bean, vanilla, saffron, jasmine, musk, bergamot, lemon, nutmeg, cloves, patchouli, woody notes and peru balsam all come together to create one serious assault on the senses. Simultaneously exotic and evocative, you’ll feel alive with just one spritz of Dries Van Noten par Frederic Malle. The duration is also excellent.
Diptyque Eau des Sens
Low-key, Dyptique’s bottles are some of our favourites. The branding perfectly encapsulates their line of fragrances — and this little guy is no different. It doesn’t just smell like a Spring day, we’re pretty sure it is a Spring day. Make sure your senses stay woke with this actual perfect fragrance.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Feel hella regal with Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. While we don’t set out to smell as if we’ve spent the day lounging about the office smoking bulk cigarillos, there’s something alluring about emanating subtle hints of tobacco. Especially when they’re mixed in with hints of vanilla, cocoa and dry fruity accords.
