When we first heard about Purely Perfect’s ‘un-shampoo’, a new one-step cleansing cream for your hair that makes it feel as good as a Calvin silk slip (without the need for any conditioner at all), the whole office let out a simultaneous ‘ooooooooh’.

If you’re in the market for the perfect shampoo and conditioner, you’d know it’s damn hard to find, and if there’s anything we hate more than the hunt, it’s the washing rigamarole itself, so needless to say the idea of cutting the process in half was appealing.

Basically, it works like this – it’s sulphate, paraben and detergent free (unlike shampoo, which strips your hair of all its natural goodness, creating the need for conditioner) – and it works on every single hair type.

But if you’re sceptical, and still convinced you really need the heavy-duty stuff for a proper deep cleanse, we totally get it because we were too, until we tried it.

One wash. No conditioner. Softer than ever and squeaky clean. End of story.
