The Gift You’ll Want To Buy For Yourself
I’m just a girl, sitting in front of the Christmas tree, hoping that one of my presents this year is Dior’s J’adore fragrance. Don’t get me wrong—I’ve developed quite the nose for citrus and sandalwood-based perfumes over the years (here’s looking at you, Santal 33), but from time to time I *adore* checking in with my feminine, floral favourites. In much the same way as I’ve rekindled my love of low-rise jeans and wedge sandals, I’ve recently developed a soft spot for the #1 perfume of my late teenage years. Can you blame me?
Things Dior J’adore is: lovely, agreeable, long-lasting. The bottle is as iconic as they come, and the contents even more so. The perfume has a beautiful way of lingering on clothes and in rooms long after you’ve left. Like Breakfast At Tiffany’s and Roman Holiday, Dior J’adore is a bonafide classic. It’s elegant, refined, and timeless (the perfume embodiment of Audrey Hepburn), and can be worn any time of the year. Whenever I wear it, I feel low-key glam, like an impeccably groomed woman heading off to brunch on a Sunday morning in a tweed suit and matching pearls. And there’s one thing I know for sure—I never receive as many compliments as I do (predominantly from strangers) when I wear Dior J’adore.
A small, selfish part of me just wants to gift this to someone so I can somehow weave my favourite pun into Christmas morning: shut the front J’adore (no doubt to a sea of crickets, given how horrendously dad joke-esque it is). Maybe leave the puns at home, and let a bottle of Dior J’adore do all the talking come Christmas morning. Buy a bottle here.
