Hello there! My name is Nadia Azmy and I’m an Egyptian living in NYC. I’m a creative (on and off the clock) who shares my personal style on NadiaAzmy.com—a site inspired by art, design, and culture. Upon moving to New York City, I was quickly faced with so many changes that I had to adapt to, which meant figuring out how to combat adult acne while settling into an entirely new city. A few things that I’ve learned along the way are that hydration is super important, not wearing a full face of makeup is okay, and that taking care of your skin also means accepting the skin you have.

Diptyque Ambre Candle

I love for my beauty routine to be relaxing, so, as I get ready, I’m always burning a candle and listening to Umm Kulthum. Diptyque is by far my favorite candle brand because the branding is on point, the scents totally set the mood, and the candles make my home feel so luxurious. (Plus, they make really cute decor cups once they’re finished.) I always have my favorite scents (Ambre, Oud, and Roses) stocked in my cabinet.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler

I’ve been using this eyelash curler since middle school! I have quite straight eyelashes, so whenever I step out, I have to curl my eyelashes with this. I’ve hardly gone a day without it since I discovered it.

Chanel Lotion Confort

I think there’s something about living in NYC that leaves your skin feeling a little gross towards the end of the day. (Don’t quote me on this, but I’m sure it’s the gunk in the air.) I’d never used toner until two months ago when, during my trip to Dubai, I picked this one up at duty-free. Life-changing. After I remove my makeup and cleanse my face, I use a cotton pad to apply the toner, and woah… Let’s just say I haven’t gone without it since.

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Color in Richard

Tom Ford’s Lips & Boys Lip Color in shade Richard is the perfect everyday color for my skin tone. I love this line of lipsticks because they’re ultra-moisturizing and fade off the lip into a stain (rather than getting super chappy). I literally have a handful of them.

Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in 810 Pourpre Profond

I like to keep my look really effortless, and, since I really don’t have that much time on my hands, I have to. This cream eyeshadow is all my taupe eyeshadow dreams come true. I like to keep a minimal amount of product on my vanity, and I can apply this shadow with my fingertips and quickly run out of the house. It adds instant depth and gives me a sultry look.

Oribe Daily Ritual Cream Face Cleanser

I started using this cleanser a few months ago and I’m hooked. I’ve always loved Oribe’s hair products, so I knew there was a chance I would love this. This cleanser is quite creamy, which leaves my skin feeling so smooth and soft. Also, I have combination skin, and I’ve noticed a massive difference in my skin’s texture, since it caters to the dryness as well as the oiliness.
